About me
Sanctuary is a an Online Intentional Community which was birthed by Katarina Amadora after the first ISTA Online Festival. It is like a Red Thread which connects the various Festivals by providing a space where persons of all genders, races and orientations are welcome, and everyone is encouraged to share their gifts. From its inception, Sanctuary has been a co-created community which was only made possible because of the individuals who believe in our mission to serve. We celebrate those who step up in leadership and in service to the community, and give them a platform where they can stretch their wings and grow. Over the course of several months, Sanctuary has evolved and expanded in scope to offer emotional support services to a variety of Festivals, and we are actively seeking new collaborations. Sanctuary offers a safe, fun, connecting, inspirational, empowering, and transformative space for you to be you. It is a gathering place for you to express, dance, learn, release, play, share, care, and dare. It is a place where we can take refuge, support each other, bring light to our shadows, and nurture all the many gifts that we collectively have to offer the world. Sanctuary provides a wide range of offerings including workshops, meetings, co-working, parties, celebrations, and support groups. We also offer a weekly forum where we discuss things that have happened in the community and in holding space, and we learn from each other. Members can reach out to each other to request emotional support within Sanctuary and create pop-up events for the community. We envision a world where the consciousness of the collective is elevated and we wish to help co-create such a world. Many of our events are free, some are contribution based, and others are ticketed. We host a monthly Temple which is a community celebration featuring a variety of rooms which you can navigate and connect with others. The Temple is free to volunteers but ticketed for those who choose to attend from the community. We welcome you to join us, to hang out and share space with us, or to join as a volunteer. Please reach out to Katarina Amadora if you have any questions.
